21 Jump Street (2012)

Columbia Pictures is negotiating with the "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" helming team of Phil Lord and Chris Miller to direct "21 Jump Street," the pic based on the TV series that launched Johnny Depp.
The film, about a group of baby-faced cops who go undercover at high schools, has been guided by Jonah Hill and Mike Bacall, who hatched the story together. Bacall wrote the script and Hill will star in the film and exec produce.

Neal Moritz is producing with Stephen J. Cannell.

The series, which ran from 1987-1990, was an early hit for the Fox Network.

"21 Jump Street" is the first live-action feature directing assignment for the duo, who've worked together as co-exec producers on the CBS series "How I Met Your Mother" and "Clone High." They co-wrote "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs," which was Lord's feature directing debut.

Die Messer und Autoszene zum Schluss sind echt dufte, ansonsten sieht mir das zu trashig aus.

Jonah Hill sieht aus, als hätte man die Luft rausgelassen. Wie war das noch: Fette Komiker sollten nie abnehmen, denn dann isses mit der Karriere vorbei ... werd ihnnet vermissen

Bin jetzt irgendwie unentschlossen, was ich davon halten soll. Der Trailer macht irgendwie Laune, aber es ist nicht 21 Jump Street. Andererseits wüsste ich jetzt auch nicht, wie man das besser in einen 90minüter packen sollte.

Zu meiner Überraschung verliefen erste Screenings offenbar ziemlich gut - entsprechend sind die daraus hervorgehenden Reviews nahezu durchweg positiv ausgefallen und sprechen von einer erfreulich hohen Gag-(Treffer)-Dichte...
