Anderson Silva to appear on the big screen with Steven Seagal – UFC News

Yet another mixed martial artist has joined the leagues of those who enter Hollywood based on their skills of bones and flesh. UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has been confirmed to play a role in Steven Seagal’s upcoming movie. The news was indeed confirmed by the legend himself while talking to Brazilian media conglomerate Globo, as reported by MMA Mania.com.

“I'm going to Los Angeles to record a movie with Steven Seagal. I'm very excited about this new phase. I'm preparing. I'm training thanks to Johnny Araujo, who is my supporter. You are helping me a lot,” revealed Silva, who is known as the ‘Bruce Lee’ of our generation.

It should be noted here that Seagal has been talking about Silva for quite some time now. At times, Seagal came up saying he was the mentor of Silva, who is considerably the best mixed martial artist today.

Silva, who already holds a huge fan base around the globe, since he is the most cherished mixed martial artist, will now be seen on the big screen as well. The ‘Spider’ just recently spoke of his old age, asserting that he has achieved everything in the UFC he wished and now it is time for him to play it low.

Silva was recently asked about the possibility of a super-fight against the current light heavyweight titlist Jon Jones, who is on his way to become the next big thing in the UFC. Unfortunately, the Brazilian fighter disregarded the notion, saying there are other better fighters in the organisation who deserve a shot at Jones.

For now, Silva is eyeing a match against welterweight titlist Georges St-Pierre, who will be making his ring return after 19 months against interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit.

With Silva’s growing popularity and his skills in the game, there is no doubt over the fact that the Brazilian fighter is indeed one of the most renowned mixed martial artists of all times. His grip on the game and his achievements have made him stand tall among the rest. He is an unbeaten fighter who is being eyed by every rising superstar for glory.
