“When his stepson, Daniel, is framed and sentenced to 25 years in a foreign country, Reynolds makes a daring jailbreak to save him and must overcome an overzealous prison warden in a race against time to avoid capture and flee the country,” reads the official logline for the film.

Production on the film is set to begin sometime later this year in Eastern Europe, from a screenplay written by Richard D’Ovidio (The Last Frontier, The Call). Breakout will also be produced by Anton and Off The Pier Productions, with no other official casting or release information available as of yet.

Den Regisseur sollte man nach seinen letzten beiden Werken auf jeden Fall von CGIs und Green Screens fernhalten!

Täte mich mal interessieren, in wie weit so ein B-/Auftrags-Regisseur überhaupt darauf Einfluss hat. Könnte mir gut vorstellen, dass der die Effektschmiede etc. einfach vorgesetzt bekommt und nix zu melden hat.

Naja... im Zuge der Pre-Production wird ja besprochen, wo CGIs und Green Screens zum Einsatz kommen... da kann ein Regisseur schonmal schauen, ob das der Weg ist, den er zu gehen bereit ist.

Im Nachhinein hat er nicht viel Einfluss darauf, was die F/X-Fuzzies draus machen. Der Budget-Anteil dafür ist auch so ein Faktor, den man betrachten könnte.
