Den Kinnaman mag ich, es bleibt aber trotzdem ein sinnloses Remake.

Imho eine absolute Topwahl.
Hatte mir diese schwedische GSI-Serie mal für 'nen Fünfer aus Neugier gekauft und die dann förmlich verschlungen. Kinnaman trägt die Serie - als desillusionierter und ziemlich finsterer V-Mann - fast im Alleingang. In Espinosas "Easy Money" gibt er dann den schmierigen BWL-Student und macht das ebenfalls exellent. Den Thor sollte er auch machen, hätte auch gepasst.

Dann auch noch José Padilha auf'm Regiestuhl...ja gehts noch besser?

Das Original nimmt uns keiner weg und ich mag sinnlose Sachen.

Die können anfangen, bin gespannt.

Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass das dann auch eher in Richtung Drama mit Actionanteil geht, wie z.B. bei Warrior. Die Verwandlung in eine Maschine bietet ja großes Potential für ein Trauma.

Kinnaman:

Attached to the project earlier this month, Snabba Cash star Joel Kinnaman spoke today with MTV and dropped a few details about his upcoming role as Officer Alex Murphy in Jose Padilha's reboot of RoboCop.

"There's a lot of neuroscience now raising the question, 'Is all the intelligence in the human body in the brain?'" Kinnaman explains, "and theyre finding out that, no, its not like that. The body has intelligence itself, and were much more of an organic creature in that way. It's not a control tower that does everything."

In addition to a more scientific approach, Kinnaman says that the humanity of Murphy will be played up in ways that include a redesign of the RoboCop costume.

"Theyre still working on the suit and how its going to look, but the visor is going to be see-through," he continues. "Youre going to see his eyes... It's not going to be jaw action."

"I have my take on it," Padilha himself told ComingSoon.net late last year, "And I can tell you this: In the first 'RoboCop' when Alex Murphy is shot, gunned down, then you see some hospitals and stuff and then you cut to him as RoboCop. My movie is between those two cuts. How do you make RoboCop? How do you slowly bring a guy to be a robot? How do you actually take humanity out of someone and how do you program a brain, so to speak, and how does that affect an individual?"

Gary Oldman has joined the cast of Jose Padilha's RoboCop, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter. He'll play Norton, the scientist who invents the cyborg technology that brings Officer Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) back to life. Norton will have to deal with the morality of saving Murphy's life and the demands of the company that he works for.

Jip, zumal als "Media Mogul". Mit Auftritten wie in "Arena" in Erinnerung, hätte ich mir einen anderen gewünscht - wo man bislang doch so gut gecastet hat...

Abbie Cornish in Talks for RoboCop

It seems MGM isn't playing around with their new RoboCop film. They're already got Joel Kinnaman playing Alex Murphy with Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson set to accompany him. Now, according to Deadline, they've tagged Abbie Cornish to take on the female lead in the film and it's not who you would expect. Instead of Murphy's former partner Anne Lewis, she'll actually be playing the wife of Alex Murphy who assumes after his death that she is a widow. (Shocktillyoudrop)

Was ein Arschgeschmarre! Laurie rockt ja wohl mal tausendmal mehr als alle bisher im Fred genannten! So!

Außerdem soll das schon ein Robocopfilm werden, kein abgefilmtes Tanztheater. Danach siehts aber aktuell stark aus!

Außer "House" (überbewertete Serie, von ihm allerdings durchaus gut gespielt) hat der Hugh aber sonst echt noch nicht wirklich was Beachtenswertes gerissen. Er reizt mich einfach auf keiner Cast-Liste wirklich.

Kann mir den auch net so wirklich als fiesen Lump vorstellen ... da wird man die ganze Zeit denken, wann zeigt er endlich seine eigentlich doch nette Art.

Der wird alle wegrulen! Bei dem bisherigen Cast allerdings keine echte Leistung. Also für mich wird dieser Robocop hier eher nix ...

Der wird der "Batman Begins" der "Robocops".

Hab mir die ersten 3 Filme ja gerade erst auf BluRay zugelegt - die ersten zwei sind durchaus noch brauchbar und einigermaßen sehenswert, doch optimal gealtert sind sie nicht (gilt eher für Teil 2). Das letzte Sequel und die Serie sind murks, das ist ja keine echte Frage - also bietet sich ein Remake wunderbar an, zumal die Herangehesweise eine etwas andere ist.
