Spectre (James Bond 2015)

Mexico has become known more for drugs, corruption and violence than for anything else. In fact, the war on drugs has claimed more than 100,000 lives since 2006, drastically hurting tourism.

Now comes word that the country has made deal with MGM and Sony, offering up to $20 million in incentives for the studios to rewrite their James Bond film "Spectre" in order to depict positive aspects of Mexico.

Part of the deal is for the film to portray "modern Mexico City buildings," not to cast a Mexican to play the villain, to make an international ambassador the target of an assassination rather than a Mexico City mayor, to depict the Mexican police as a "special force," and to cast a Mexican actress as Bond girl.

Mexican actress Stephanie Sigman was hired as the film's Bond girl, even though she's best known for her role in "Miss Bala," which is set in Mexico's criminal underworld.

The requests made by Mexico go well beyond normal requirements for incentives. But the deal is fantastic for MGM and Sony, which has been looking to cut costs in order to reduce the film's massive $300 million budget. ...

Schön, dass es noch Lichtblicke in diesem ansonsten recht öden Kinojahr gibt.
Der Teaser ist nett - halt ein Teaser und kein Trailer.

Wegen dem Bösewicht mache ich mir eigentlich keine Sorgen.

Aber ansonsten stimme ich dir zu. Keinerlei Bondfeeling, nur Drama und düstere Bilder. Ich hoffe, da wird bald ein besserer Teaser nachgeschoben.

Nicht schlecht, ich hab das Gefühl dieser Film wird „bondiger“ als die letzten drei, die ja teils doch sehr auf die persönliche Komponente konzentriert waren und mir da einige Elemente fehlten (auch wenn ich „Skyfall“ an sich durchaus gut fand).

Current James Bond, Daniel Craig, says he’s considering hanging up the boots after this year’s “Spectre”, and quitting the Bond franchise for good.

“At this moment, no”, Craig tells Esquire when asked if he’s ready for another go-round as the world’s most famous spy. “I have a life and I’ve got to get on with it a bit. But we’ll see… I don’t know. I really don’t know. Honestly. I’m not trying to be coy. At the moment I can’t even conceive it.”
