Transformers 3: The Dark of the Moon (2011)
Quelle: reelchicago.comStarting July 4 and filming for seven weeks, director Michael Bay’s "Transformers 3" will shoot in Chicago, which along with Moscow, will be "the focus of the big action sequences," according to Bay’s official website.
Chicago Film Office director Rich Moskal calls the upcoming big-budget shoot "a blockbuster in every sense of the word; in terms of economic impact, stunts and special effects."
In a sit-down with the producers last winter, Mayor Daley was agreeable to their city location requests "as he saw the multiple value in this big movie shooting here," says Moskal. They will shoot along Michigan Avenue and throughout the Loop.
Starting May 10 "T3" will work out of Chicago Film Studios Chicago (the Ryerson steel plant), occupying 300,000 sq. ft. for offices, stages, construction, wardrobe, transportation, etc., according to studio manager Alex Pisseos.
Scheduled for a July 1, 2011 release, "T3" is expected to provide the greatest amount of local union employment since "Public Enemies" filmed here in 2008.
While the plot is being tightly held under wraps, Michael Bay did say in a Blu-ray extra that "T3" can’t get any bigger, so it will have to go "sideways," in terms of overall scope and action.
He also revealed that the new Autobot being introduced will be a Ferrari 458 Italia.
"T3" will shoot in six other world cities in the continuing saga of the admirable Autobots and dastardly Decepticons, who disguise themselves by transforming into everyday machinery.
Cast members are Shia Labeouf as Sam Witwicky, Megan Fox as his girlfriend, Mikaela, John Malkovich as Sam’s boss, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Frances McDormand, and Ken Jeong.
Bay is also the executive director, with Steven Spielberg; producers are Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Ian Bryce. Ehren Kruger is the writer.
The "Transformers" franchise, based on the popular Hasbro Transformers toy lines, centered on two factions of warring alien robots.

Angeblich steht Gemma Arterton schon bereit...Megan Fox Not Returning for Transformers 3
Source: Variety, May 19, 2010
Earlier this month, Megan Fox was spotted doing previz shots for Transformers 3, but now Variety is reporting that she will not appear as Mikaela in the third installment after all.
Paramount Pictures reportedly decided not to pick up her option as the studio and director Michael Bay want to take the story line in another direction and plan to cast another actress as the love interest for Sam Witwicky, played by Shia LaBeouf. The trade says the decision "was unrelated to a September interview with a British magazine in which Fox compared Bay with Adolf Hitler."
The third installment is scheduled to hit theaters on July 1, 2011.

"And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from
Thy hand. That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth
to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patri Et Filii.Spiritus Sancti"

"And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from
Thy hand. That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth
to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patri Et Filii.Spiritus Sancti"

LOL: Ben Kingsley Submits Video Audition For Transformers 3
Last week we posted and ridiculed the unsolicited video audition that reality television star Heidi Montag recorded for Michael Bay in an attempt to become Megan Fox’s replacement in Transformers 3. We joked that Montag would have probably had better luck modeling some skimpy clothes or, gasp, reading from a sample page of script sides, instead of firing guns and running around. If you haven’t yet watched that video, please watch it now before continuing…

On the other hand, Sir Ben Kingsley has stepped up to show how it should be done by a serious actor and thespian. Kingsley recorded and submitted his own video audition for Michael Bay, vying for the role vacated by Megan Fox. Please, don’t let anyone tell him that Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has already signed on for the part. Watch Kingsley’s audition video, embedded after the jump...

New Transformers 3 Details!
Source: USA Today, June 10, 2010
USA Today visited the set of Transformers 3 and got new details on the third film, opening in theaters on July 1, 2011. The newspaper confirmed it will be released in 3D.
Talking about the second film, director Michael Bay said, "I'll take some of the criticism" while standing at a set built to resemble a dilapidated nuclear reactor. "It was very hard to put (the sequel) together that quickly after the writers' strike (of 2007-08)."
Bay said that "This one really builds to a final crescendo. It's not three multiple endings... As a trilogy, it really ends. It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending."
"One thing we're getting rid of is what I call the dorky comedy," Bay added. So the twins, "They're basically gone," he said, though John Turturro returns for comic relief.
The newspaper says the new villain will be Shockwave, "the robot cyclops-turned-laser-cannon, who became dictator of their home world of Cybertron after the other Autobots and Decepticons journeyed to Earth."
According to USA Today, "The new film features Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) taking his first tenuous steps into adulthood while remaining a reluctant human ally of Optimus Prime." "Shia has this great line: 'You know, I've saved the world twice, but I can't get a job,'" producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said.
Transformers 3 centers around the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, suggesting there was a hidden Transformers role in it all that remains one of the planet's most dangerous secrets.
"The movie is more of a mystery," Bay said. "It ties in what we know as history growing up as kids with what really happened."
