In den Kinos wurde allerdings schon Werbung gemacht, auf Filmmärkten wurde er auch schon für die Verleiher gezeigt - würde mich wundern, wenn sie noch einen Rückzieher machen, US-Flop hin oder her. Bin da ein wenig optimistischer. Silent Hill würde ich auf 18 Mio $ schätzen, gemeinhin gilt ja der erste als Paradebeispiel für eine gelungene Videogame Umsetzung, lange mussten die Fans auf ein Sequel warten. Cloud Atlas würde ich im 27 Mio $ Bereich ansiedeln.

Tom Tykwer and Andy and Lana Wachowski wanted to make a movie unlike any other, and they certainly did: Cloud Atlas is a unique and totally unparalleled disaster.
'Cloud Atlas' is like the entire 'Matrix' trilogy in micro. It starts out absolutely brilliantly, then segues into a pretentious slog.
Everything gets homogenized into a blandish whole, the impact of each story softened by the constant need to connect the dots.
"Argo" hat die Box Office weiter bzw. wieder gerockt!
