Hat er nun getan: Trump posthumously pardons Jack Johnson, boxing's first black heavyweight champion (Fox News)StS hat geschrieben:Trump Says He May Pardon Convicted Boxing Champion After Sylvester Stallone Call
President Donald Trump says he's considering a posthumous pardon of a heavyweight boxing champion after he received a call from Rocky Balboa himself.
"Sylvester Stallone called me with the story of heavyweight boxing champion Jack Johnson. His trials and tribulations were great, his life complex and controversial," Trump tweeted Saturday afternoon. "Others have looked at this over the years, most thought it would be done, but yes, I am considering a Full Pardon!"
Johnson, who died in 1946, was the first black heavyweight boxing champion in American history, rising to that rank during the Jim Crow era. In 1912, he was arrested twice for accompanying a white woman across state lines under a law that forbade such transport for "immoral purposes" — which, at the time, included interracial relationships. Johnson spent a year in prison after being convicted by an all-white jury.
Johnson has since appeared in popular culture in the 1967 play and 1970 movie The Great White Hope, which starred James Earl Jones as Johnson, and in the 2005 Ken Burns documentary Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson.
So far in his presidency, Trump has pardoned three formerly convicted felons, including former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio, former U.S. Navy sailor Kristian Saucier and lawyer and former adviser to former Vice President Dick Cheney I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby.

Statement von Freeman: “Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy,” Freeman said in a statement obtained by Variety. “I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent”StS hat geschrieben:Morgan Freeman Accused of Sexual Harassment, Inappropriate Behavior by Multiple Women
Morgan Freeman has been accused of sexual misconduct by eight women. Sixteen people spoke to CNN about the actor's alleged inappropriate behavior, describing multiple troubling incidents throughout his career.
In all, 16 people spoke to CNN about Freeman as part of this investigation, eight witnesses and eight who claim to be victims.
A young production assistant said that in the summer of 2015, while she was working on Freeman's bank heist comedy Going In Style, she was subjected to several months of harassment. She alleged that Freeman repeatedly touched her without permission, resting his hand on her lower back or rubbing her lower back, and frequently made comments about her figure and clothing.
In one incident, she said Freeman "kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear," adding that he never successfully lifted her skirt. "Alan [Arkin] made a comment telling him to stop. Morgan got freaked out and didn't know what to say."
A senior member of the production staff of the movie Now You See Me in 2012 told CNN that Freeman "did comment on our bodies... We knew that if he was coming by ... not to wear any top that would show our breasts, not to wear anything that would show our bottoms, meaning not wearing clothes that [were] fitted."

Steven Seagal to Produce Live MMA Show in Russia
Hollywood actor and Russian citizen Steven Seagal has launched a sports promotion company in Russia to produce a live fight show.
Zhara Fight, with Seagal at the helm as president, will promote live events featuring MMA and other fighters from various countries. The inaugural show is scheduled for May 30 at one of Moscow's most popular venues, Vegas City Hall. "Emin Agalarov helped to make it real," Seagal said in a video, published on Vegas City Hall's website, referring to a Russian pop star and entrepreneur whose family owns the venue.
(Incidentally, Agalarov's name has popped up in the investigation into Russia's alleged meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.)
"We want to set up a situation where we do everything," Seagal said, explaining the concept of his show. "Maybe there is an MMA kind of thing; maybe there is boxing; maybe there's different kind of fights."
Seagal, a longtime supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, obtained Russian citizenship in late 2016. "He is a spectacular human being and a great, great, great world leader, maybe, the greatest," Seagal said about Putin in the Vegas City Hall video.
Seagal has recently been accused of sexual assault and harassment by several women, including Regina Simons and Jenny McCarthy. In late January, Beverly Hills police submitted a sexual assault case against Seagal to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Russia Names Steven Seagal Special Envoy to U.S.
The Foreign Ministry said Saturday that the unpaid position would require Seagal to "facilitate relations between Russia and the United States in the humanitarian field, including cooperation in culture, arts, public and youth exchanges."
Russia has appointed action movie star Steven Seagal as a special envoy for humanitarian ties with the United States.
The Foreign Ministry announced the move Saturday on its Facebook page, saying Seagal's portfolio in the unpaid position would be to "facilitate relations between Russia and the United States in the humanitarian field, including cooperation in culture, arts, public and youth exchanges."
Seagal is an accomplished martial artist — like Russian President Vladimir Putin. The actor, who was granted Russian citizenship in 2016, has vocally defended the Russian leader's policies, including Russia's 2014 annexation of Crimea, and has criticized the U.S. government.
Last year, Ukraine banned Seagal from entering the country for five years, citing national security reasons.

(...)
A judge declared Bill Cosby a "sexually violent predator" on Tuesday as he prepared to sentence the 81-year-old comedian for drugging and sexually assaulting a woman over a decade ago.
The classification means that Cosby must undergo monthly counseling for the rest of his life and report quarterly to authorities. His name will appear on a sex-offender registry sent to neighbors, schools and victims.
