American Pie 4: American Reunion (2012)

The studio is poised to bring on "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg to script a new take on the franchise, which is being described in the development community as "American Pie 4." The movie would come on the heels of the third theatrical movie in the franchise, "American Wedding," which came out in 2003, and a slew of lucrative DVD titles that followed.
At least some of the original cast is interested in coming back for the new picture, though sources emphasized that development is early and there are no actor deals in place.
How the characters would be worked into a new script remains a question; many, after all, are now in their late 20s and early 30s, and the original picture was set in high school. Writers would also need to contend with a world in which the novelty of the raunchy comedy, which was a relatively new form more than a decade ago, may have worn off with the success of movies like "The Hangover" and a spate of Judd Apatow films.
But the studio is clearly hoping that the awareness and fondness for the comedy brand could help support a new installment.

Hm...den Book of Love hab ich auch noch nicht gesehen

Verglichen mit Naked Mile und Beta House hat Book of Love wenigstens eine flüssige Story und sogar etwas Charme. Von den DTV-Pie's meines Erachtens der Beste, jedoch höchstens mit 5/10 zu bewerten. Für einen netten Abend mit Bier und Chips bestens geeignet.

Laut "The Wrap" wurden nun erste Darsteller für den vierten Teil verpflichtet. Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott und Eugene Levy sollen bereits dabei sein und mit Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari und Jennifer Coolidge soll man sich in Verhandlungen befinden. Über das Mitwirken von Alyson Hannigan ist allerdings nichts bekannt.

Wie whatsplaying.com berichtet, soll es im kommenden vierten (richtigen) American Pie aka American Reunion um nachfolgendes gehen. Auch seien (wie aus der Story ersichtlich) alle relevanten Darsteller als dem Original inkl. Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Mena Suvari, Chris Klein, Jennifer Coolidge und Alyson Hannigan involviert.

1. The whole gang are returning to East Great Falls for their ten-year Highschool reunion (made possible thanks to Facebook). They’ll come near and far to remember the good times - only to be faced with the frightening realization that they’re no longer young teenagers.
2. Oz has hit the big time as a contestant on a Dancing with the Stars-type show. He also lives in a pricey Malibu mansion. He returns home a big-shot.
3. Stifler isn’t doing well - he’s working as a temp for a rude boss that refers to him as ‘his bitch’. He’s also not having a lot of luck with the ladies. Still, he’s excited to get back home and do some partying.
4. Jim’s next-door neighbor Kara, now all grown-up (!), develops a crush on the married man. Can Jim resist her? Can he keep his marriage to Michelle in one piece?
5. Marco wants to kill Jim. He’s been dating Kara for quite a while but now his woman only has eyes for the “pie f*cker”!
6. Upon returning home Stifler scores with Laurie, a former hotttie now 80 pounds heavier. Thoughtful as ever, Stifler lets her know he’ll be turning the lights off for their lovemaking session.
7. Jim is a YouTube sensation these days - everyone knows his little performance piece from the ’90s with Nadia!
8. Oz’s girlfriend Mia - seemingly with him for his money only - decides to join him at the reunion. Meanwhile, Oz’s ex-Heather brings with her to town her new boyfriend, a forty-something surgeon, who tries to act younger.
9. Stifler is supposed to be working on the weekend of the reunion and attempts to keep up the ruse that he still is.
10. Trisha use to go to bandcamp with Michelle. She’s now a smokin’ hotie bartender - one whom ‘international traveler’ Finch will score with (Though Stifler’s Mom will also make a reappearance).

Katrina Bowden, best known for her role as Cerie on "30 Rock," has joined the cast of Universal Pictures American Reunion, Variety reports.
The film will reunite the cast of Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, Eugene Levy, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge and is targeting an April 6, 2012 release.
Bowden is said to play a "party girl" girlfriend to Klein's character.
The production, which recently held an open casting call for a role requiring "upper frontal nudity," is about to begin production in Atlanta, Georgia.

Damals konnte man sich als MOF wunderbar mit den Figuren identifizieren, heute geht das im fortgeschrittenen Alter fast noch besser. Gerade die Szene der Highschool Party zeigt, wie brutal alt wir sind und wie schön es ist in Erinnerungen zu schwelgen, die manN niemals hatte.
