Quelle: iesb.netThe Hangover 2 is coming for May 2011. Director Todd Phillips is hard at work banging out the script while putting the finishing touches on Due Date. By that process of elimination, that meant some kind of tentative agreement had been made for our three leads Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms to return. Filming starts this November

Starring: Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, Liam Neeson
"The Hangover" sequel is headed to Thailand - reuniting Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and Zach Galifianakis as a group of friends who find themselves getting into even more outrageous trouble in Asia.
Liam Neeson is replacing Mel Gibson in the cameo role as a tattoo artist in The Hangover 2.
"I just got a call to do a one day shoot on 'Hangover 2' as a tattooist in Thailand, and that's all I know about it," Neeson told Variety. "I just laughed my leg off when I saw 'The Hangover,' I was shooting in Berlin earlier this year and rented it on the hotel TV."
Director Todd Phillips said in a statement on Thursday that they were no longer going with Gibson following protests from the cast and crew.
"I thought Mel would have been great in the movie and I had the full backing of Jeff Robinov and his team," said Phillips, "But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew."
Neeson was asked by his The A-Team co-star Bradley Cooper to take on the role. He flew out to the set Thursday from his home in New York.

Liam Neeson's Cameo Cut From The Hangover Part II
Source: Variety, April 9, 2011
Variety reports that Liam Neeson's cameo as a Bangkok tattoo artist in The Hangover Part II has been cut. Actor/writer/director Nick Cassavetes has been re-cast in the role that was originally envisioned for Mel Gibson.
Director Todd Phillips told the trade that he cut the scene that immediately followed Neeson's cameo, so if he had left the cameo in, the following minutes apparently wouldn't have made sense.
Instead, Phillips wanted to reshoot the cameo scene to make it fit, but Neeson is already shooting Clash of the Titans 2 and was not available.
"We were in a complete time crunch so I called up Nick and asked if he would do the part," Phillips said. "He came in and crushed it and that is the scene that you will ultimately see in the film."
