... while Matt Reeves’ follow-up to “The Batman” was recently given an official greenlight, with Reeves and Mattson Tomlin penning the script, it remains a long way off.
Specifically the trade mentions that the film is not expected to hit cinemas until 2025 “at the earliest.” It will join the new Superman movie in development which will see Henry Cavill returning. That project is currently soliciting pitches from writers.

... Reeves said that Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne will be finding it “very hard to be Batman” in the forthcoming sequel.
Regarding the events of The Penguin and why Pattinson was absent from the show, Reeves said, “This was a time of great turmoil in the city, it’s literally the week after what happened. Much of the city is in desperation, so police can’t get everywhere, there’s crime everywhere, it’s a very, very dangerous time.”
He also noted, “[Batman’s] out there trying to grapple with the aftermath of everything that happened, which to some degree he blames himself for.”
Man munkelt jetzt in Fankreisen, dass Barnes in A: Doomsday sterben könnte, weil Secret Wars und Batman II zur gleichen Zeit gedreht werden.

Wie bei jeder Comicverfilmung... wir erinnern uns noch an den "Tod" von Superman in BvS, der ja schon während des Abspanns wieder negiert werden musste, um auch ja niemandem zu verschrecken.
Ach, komm. Marvel hat das (u.a. durch das Multiversum-Konstrukt) schon stärker überzogen als die anderen Anbieter. Deswegs haben sich so viele ja darüber beschwert, dass es bei denen einfach keine Stakes mehr gibt...
