Wolvesbayne

Werewolf Hero VS. Nazi Vampire
From Bullet Films, a subdivision of Blackthorne Industries, the production company he and other ex-Asylum employees formed after escaping The Asylum late last year. The title that immediately popped out to me was Wolvesbayne, a sort of werewolf Hellboy that has just begun filming.

Described as a superhero-type origin film set in a horror film universe, Jeremy London ("Party of Five", Basilisk: The Serpent King) stars as the heroic werewolf who will have to save the world from a Nazi vampire cult leader played by a sword-wielding Marc Dacascos (Brotherhood of the Wolf, Drive) and his vampish cohort, Yancy Butler ("Witchblade", Hard Target). Rounding out the cast are Christy Carlson Romano (the voice of TV's "Kim Possible") as - I'm assuming - the hero's love interest and underrated former Asylum movie regular Rhett Giles as the one and only Van Helsing. Griff Furst (I Am Omega, 100 Million BC) directs. Leigh Scott and Ken Badish (Mansquito) produce.

Creature effects are being handled by Drac Studios; their make-up work will be showcased in next year's Watchmen and Night at the Museum 2. Expect to see both Howling-type werewolves and those of the semi-humanoid type as depicted in the very preliminary artwork seen above. I'm also told that a "very enthusiastic" Dacascos will be almost unrecognizable under the make-up they're using. (Dread Central)

Threadtitel, Artwork und Synopsis stimmten mich ja erwartungsfroh, aber der Trailer lässt ganz fürchterliches vermuten: Keinen lustigen, sondern schlicht schlechten Trash imo. :?
