Ah, cool. Arbeitskollege hat mich gestern noch wegen des Köln-Konzertes im September gefragt, ich wusste aber gar nicht, dass da auch ein neues Album dran hängt. Dass tatsächlich bald schon wieder zwei Jahre seit "Your Wilderness" verstrichen sind... und die scheinen ja stur bei ihrem Zweijahresrhythmus zu bleiben.

Das Köln Konzert juckt mich auch aber ich habe mein Budget mit vier Konzerten in diesem Jahr schon arg strapaziert, zudem sollen ja auch noch Spocks Beard und Ladytron kommen.....

TPT’s highly anticipated 2018 studio release Dissolution is the second to feature Gavin Harrison (King Crimson / Porcupine Tree).
On Dissolution, The Pineapple Thief elevate themselves to new heights, showcasing developing songwriting and technical capabilities.
The album concept tells of the dark consequences of living in a society in which everything is played out on a public stage (a theme paralleled in the cover art, which was created by 'glitching' the original photographs).
Songwriter Bruce Soord explains, "In a time when we are supposed to be bound closer together than ever, I have never felt so apart from the world. We are living through a revolution and right now I am not sure it’s a good one. Lyrically this is the most vivid I have been."
The band recorded Dissolution across the UK, sharing ideas via instant messaging.
The mixing was handled by Soord and Harrison, and mastering was done by the band's keyboardist Steve Kitch.
The song White Mist features ace guitarist David Torn providing typically abstract, off-kilter sounds.

Bei der Buchedition nicht lange überlegen - die letzte ("Your Wilderness") war Ratz-Fatz ausverkauft und wird bei Discogs mittlerweile zwischen 150 - 200 Euro gehandelt

Ne zeitlang gabs die aber schon noch. Ich hab ein bisschen gewartet und sie recht günstig bei Amazon bekommen.
Hoffe, die gibts auch diesmal wieder via amazon oder JPC oder so...

Genau das ist bei K-Scope immer so eine Sache - ich habe zB darauf gewartet das die Paul Draper Buchedition von "Spooky Action" bei JPC o.ä. kommt aber war nichts, die gab es nur über Burning Shed.
