Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire, 24) has been tapped for a key role in Amazon’s upcoming sci-fi drama pilot based on Michel Faber’s cult hit book The Book of Strange New Things. Kapoor will play Vikram Danesh, the authoritative head of the base on Oasis, joining previously announced Richard Madden and Haley Joel Osment.

Starker Pilot, der das Szenario auf einem fremden, kargen Planeten authentisch einfängt. Auch die religöse Komponente, fern ab von sonstigem SciFi Gebaren der Marke BSG, finde ich gut in dieses wissenschaftliche Setting eingeflochten (sofern man das nach Folge 1 beurteilen kann). Hoffe die Serie geht in Produktion.
