Surreal.tv is teaming with The Last Starfighter screenwriter Jonathan Betuel for a new show that will be titled “The Starfighter Chronicles.” ... Per the outlet, “The Starfighter Chronicles” will drop the film’s video game recruitment angle and will instead focus on intergalactic law enforcement, presumably on the part of the Star League.

As much as the original film was an early adopter of CGI technology, the new show is aiming to push the technological envelope and plans to feature additional entertainment opportunities for fans with virtual reality headsets.
