The CW is making some long-range plans with Veronica Mars and iZombie creator Rob Thomas. According to a story today at Deadline, the network is developing a Lost Boys series, based on the 1987 feature film directed by Joel Schumacher. Unlike the film, however, the Lost Boys series is planned to span the better part of a century. The first season will take place in San Francisco in 1967 with the plan being for each subsequent season to be set in a different decade, culminating in a final seventh season that will, by the time it airs, theoretically feature the characters in a contemporary 2020s setting. Quelle: comingsoon.netLast May, it was reported that The CW had ordered re-shoots on Catherine Hardwicke’s The Lost Boys pilot, and now Deadline brings word that the network has ultimately decided to recast all of the first pilot’s cast members with the exception of two actors, Medalion Rahimi (Before I Fall) and Dakota Shapiro (Valley of the Boom), who are still set to star in the upcoming series adaptation. Based on Joel Schumacher ‘s 1987 horror comedy of the same name (purchase it here), the new pilot will start filming by the end of the year.
