Quelle: moviehole.netAccording to an article in Variety, Tom Rothman's troupe are not only looking into doing more "X-Men" spin-off pics, as well toying with the idea of doing a "Deadpool" movie starring Ryan Reynolds - something they've been ummming and aaahing about for years now - but they're considering bringing Matt Murdock back - sans Ben Affleck behind the cherry facade.
Though nobody's on studio radar yet (that we know of), Jason Statham's said to be pretty keen on playing Daredevil. Can't see that working though.

Interview mit Tom Rothman von Fox
Quelle: IESB.netOne of the brands that has made Fox a lot of money is Marvel. Recently, there was a reboot of the Hulk, which was alright, but I think it was mainly to get it ready for the Avengers film coming up. But there are two Marvel properties you control amongst others, Daredevil and Elektra. Both films didn't do too well but...reboot maybe?
Tom Rothman: A Daredevil, to use your words, reboot, is something we are thinking very seriously about.
IESB: Soon?
TR: Soon?
IESB: I have to ask.
TR: You've lost a lot a weight now Robert and you are going to live for a long time, this is the movie business, nothing is soon.
IESB: But there aren't any issues rights wise you would have to look into?
TR: No. We've got all the rights. And yes, I think that the thing the Hulk showed although, it did what it did, is that it is possible, that if you really do it right the audience will give you a second chance. That it is possible. And I think that you see that when they did Batman Begins, the first Nolan movie, that you can have made some mistakes along the way or movies that the audience wasn't that crazy about and then given the proper amount of time and the right creative vision behind it, you can, to use your word, reboot. [...]
IESB: Would you do Daredevil as dark as The Dark Knight?
TR: Would it be as dark? I don't know because what it really needs is, it needs a visionary at the level that Chris Nolan was. It needs someone, it needs a director, honestly, who has a genuine vision. What we wouldn't do is just do it for the sake of doing it. Right? What we try to do is to get a creative engine for it, that really had a great vision for it, that's what we would look for
Quelle: Deadline.comIt's Daredevil, the movie named after the sight-challenged hero played originally by Ben Affleck. Regency is mounting the remake with former News Corp No. 2 Peter Chernin producing. Writing the redo is screenwriter David Scarpa, who scripted The Day The Earth Stood Still for Fox, which will distribute Daredevil 2.0 or whatever it's going to be called. The reason this is happening is simple: Hollywood studios with Marvel superheroes need to keep reinventing these Marvel movie franchises or the rights revert back to Disney-based Marvel. Fortunately, the properties are as resilient as the indestructible superheroes themselves.
Daredevil Reverting to Marvel, Watch Joe Carnahan's Pitch
Source: Variety, August 14, 2012
While Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Studios have not released a statement, it looks to be official. The Daredevil movie rights are reverting to Disney/Marvel Studios after Fox's extension request was rejected, says Variety. Fox was supposed to have the reboot in production by October 10th.
The news comes after director Joe Carnahan's tweets last night that said his "idea for a certain retro, red-suited, Serpico-styled superhero went up in smoke today kids."
Carnahan continued talking about the film today on Twitter and asked if fans wanted to see his sizzle piece that he presented to Fox. He said, "DD pitch was tremendous and everyone flipped for it. The clock ticked down at Fox, that's why it went t*ts up."
He posted two versions of the sizzle piece, an NC-17 and a PG-13 version, and you can watch both below:
