Thy hand. That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth
to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patri Et Filii.Spiritus Sancti"
Lynch ist raus aus der Sache...
Lynch himself clarified the goings on in a message his Twitter and Facebook accounts. It reads: “Dear Facebook Friends, Showtime did not pull the plug on Twin Peaks. After 1 year and 4 months of negotiations, I left because not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done. This weekend I started to call actors to let them know I would not be directing. Twin Peaks may still be very much alive at Showtime. I love the world of Twin Peaks and wish things could have worked out differently.”
Showtime has since responded with the following: “We were saddened to read David Lynch’s statement today since we believed we were working towards solutions with David and his reps on the few remaining deal points. SHOWTIME also loves the world of Twin Peaks and we continue to hold out hope that we can bring it back in all its glory with both of its extraordinary creators, David Lynch and Mark Frost, at its helm.”

Quelle: comingsoon.netLast month, word broke that cult director and “Twin Peaks” co-creator David Lynch was bowing out of the revival series that was set to air on Showtime citing issues with negotiations. Tonight, Lynch has revealed that the revival is back on and he will in fact be back for the series.
“Dear Twitter Friends, the rumors are not what they seem,” he wrote on Twitter. “It is !!!Happening again. #TwinPeaks returns on Showtime.”
Showtime has confirmed that David Lynch will be directing all episodes of the upcoming third season of the beloved murder/mystery show “Twin Peaks“. While it was previously reported that the show could run up to 18 episodes instead of the original 9, that seems to now be in the air as the total number of episodes has yet to be confirmed.
Showtime’s new Twin Peaks revival has been delayed until 2017
“I’ll see you again in 25 years,” were the final words uttered in the then series finale of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. Although Showtime‘s new Twin Peaks had initially planned to premiere in 2016 (25 years after the series ended), Deadline today reports a slight delay in scheduling. The plan now calls for the new Twin Peaks episodes to debut in 2017.
