Syfy, Ridley Scott's Scott Free productions and Warner Horizon Television are teaming to develop a television miniseries based on Arthur C. Clarke's 3001: The Final Odyssey.

Stuart Beattie (Pirate of the Caribbean) will provide the adapted screenplay and will also executive produce alongside Scott and David W. Zucker. Clayton Krueger will then co-executive produce.
