It may sound like some type of movie, but oftentimes the line between reality and movies with Sensei Seagal is blurred. In many ways, he’s a method actor.
“I know you guys put your life on the line every day. I myself have done and will do the same thing so I understand this is serious business,” he told the soldiers, who have been battling Abu Sayyaf for decades.
“I believe there is a formula that can help the armed forces, the police, the intelligence network to combat this very, very well,” Seagal said.
“I am looking forward to discussing these things with President Duterte at a later time,” he added. Sensei continued that he hopes to be ‘involved’ in the war at some point.

Danny Masterson Fired From Netflix's 'The Ranch' Amid Rape Allegations
Danny Masterson is done at Netflix.
The actor, who is facing multiple allegations of rape, has been fired from the streaming giant's scripted comedy The Ranch.
"As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of The Ranch. [Monday] was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him," Netflix said in a statement.
Masterson will still appear in the second half of season two, due Dec. 15, and could return for parts of the previously announced third season as the streaming giant writes him out of the Ashton Kutcher comedy. It's unclear if another actor will be brought in to make up for the void. (Kutcher famously came in as the new male lead after Charlie Sheen was fired from CBS' Two and a Half Men.)

Bryan Singer sued over alleged sexual assault of 17-year-old boy on yacht
"X-Men" and "The Usual Suspects" director Bryan Singer was accused Thursday of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy on a yacht near Seattle in 2003, according to several reports.
A civil lawsuit, brought in Washington state court by Cesar Sanchez-Guzman, alleges that Singer offered to give Sanchez-Guzman a tour of the yacht. On that pretext, the suit alleged, Singer "lured Cesar into a room, shut the door and demanded that Cesar perform oral sex." When Sanchez-Guzman refused, Singer allegedly forced Sanchez-Guzman to perform oral sex on him before raping him.
The alleged assault took place on a yacht owned by Lester Waters, whom the lawsuit describes as a "wealthy tech investor who frequently hosted parties for young gay males in the Seattle area."
At some point after the alleged assault, the lawsuit claims Singer told Sanchez-Guzman "that he was a producer in Hollywood and that he could help Cesar get into acting as long as Cesar never said anything about the incident."

Eliza Dushku Says 'True Lies' Stunt Coordinator Sexually Assaulted Her When She Was 12
Eliza Dushku has accused Blade Runner 2049 and The Conjuring 2 stunt coordinator Joel Kramer of assaulting her on the set of the 1994 film classic True Lies, when Dushku was 12 years old.
In a Facebook post on Saturday the Dollhouse actress wrote that she was "sexually molested" by the then-36-year-old stunt coordinator after Kramer "lured" her to his hotel room when filming the Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis starring action movie. Dushku says he promised her parents that he would take her swimming at the stunt crew's hotel pool and take her out for sushi.
"I remember vividly how he methodically drew the shades and turned down the lights; how he cranked up the air-conditioning to what felt like freezing levels, where exactly he placed me on one of the two hotel room beds, what movie he put on the television (Coneheads); how he disappeared in the bathroom and emerged, naked, bearing nothing but a small hand towel held flimsy at his mid-section," Dushku wrote.
Dushku says he laid down next to her on a hotel bed and rubbed her repeatedly, then suggested that she not tell anyone of the encounter. Dushku adds that on the way back to her parents, he pulled her onto his lap during a taxi ride, but grew "cold" to her in subsequent encounters.
Dushku claims that she told a "tough adult friend" on set about the encounter, who approached Kramer with the allegation. That same day, "by no small coincidence," Dushku writes, she broke ribs in what she says what a stunt that went wrong.
"To be clear, over the course of those months rehearsing and filming True Lies, it was Joel Kramer who was responsible for my safety on a film that at the time broke new ground for action films," she wrote. "On a daily basis he rigged wires and harnesses on my 12 year old body. My life was literally in his hands: he hung me in the open air, from a tower crane, atop an office tower, 25+ stories high. Whereas he was supposed to be my protector, he was my abuser."
The actress adds that she was prompted to come out with her story now when she saw a photo of Kramer hugging a young girl on the Internet, an image that she writes "haunted" her. Dushku also credits other Hollywood women who have come out with stories of abuse and assault in recent weeks for strengthening her resolve.
"Sharing these words, finally calling my abuser out publicly by name, brings the start of a new calm," she wrote.

Thurman says she did not feel comfortable operating the car and asked for a stunt person to do the scene, but Tarantino insisted she drive the car.
"He was furious because I’d cost them a lot of time. But I was scared. He said: ‘I promise you the car is fine. It’s a straight piece of road,'" Thurman told the Times. "‘Hit 40 miles per hour or your hair won’t blow the right way and I’ll make you do it again.’ But that was a death box that I was in. The seat wasn’t screwed down properly. It was a sand road and it was not a straight road."
Thurman also described the injury: “The steering wheel was at my belly and my legs were jammed under me,” she said. “I felt this searing pain and thought, ‘Oh my God, I’m never going to walk again,’” she says. “When I came back from the hospital in a neck brace with my knees damaged and a large massive egg on my head and a concussion, I wanted to see the car and I was very upset. Quentin and I had an enormous fight, and I accused him of trying to kill me. And he was very angry at that, I guess understandably, because he didn’t feel he had tried to kill me.”
According to Thurman, her lawyer sent a letter to Miramax, the company Weinstein co-founded that produced and distributed Kill Bill, two weeks after the accident, explaining what happened from Thurman's point of view and reserving the right to sue. Miramax offered to show Thurman the footage if she signed a document “releasing them of any consequences of my future pain and suffering,” Thurman said, which she refused. Thurman has alleged that Weinstein sexually assaulted her some time after the release of the 1994 film Pulp Fiction.
Thurman also said that she and Tarantino fought for years over the footage, which he and others had decided not to give her. He relinquished it to her after she pressured him following multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against Weinstein.
In a Times interview about Weinstein in October, Tarantino expressed regrets about how he handled working with the producer. “I knew enough to do more than I did,” he said. “There was more to it than just the normal rumors, the normal gossip. It wasn’t secondhand. I knew he did a couple of these things.”

...Even for moviegoers willing to set Gibson's real-world tantrums aside and judge what's onscreen (as some of us did with Jodie Foster's commercial disaster The Beaver), Kurt is a figure to turn one's stomach — and would have been even before the last month trained a spotlight on the corrosiveness of this brand of macho arrogance. Forget the possessive leer Gibson directs at women before he even gets a line to read; look instead at the unsettlingly convincing sociopathic gaze he directs at the actors meant to be his family. Either Gibson's a better actor than we thought, or he has found a kindred spirit in this character. Whatever the case, it takes something like a sadist to enjoy watching the way Kurt proceeds to bully children and grown-ups alike over the next hour and a half...
