Ist Taylor Sheridan so MAGA? Ich hab jetzt nix von seinen neueren Sachen gesehen, hatte ihn aber sonst eher so als Country Boy empfunden, der einfach mit Großstädten nicht so viel anfangen kann, z.B. bei diesem Roundtable von GQ: https://www.gq.com/story/directors-who- ... -hollywood

Aber, wie gesagt, der Roundtable ist von 2017, ich hab ihn kaum verfolgt und wegen seiner Paramount+-Aktivität kaum was gesehen. Ein paar Sachen sind ja aktuell bei Netflix ("Yellowstone", "Lioness", "1923"), da hole ich vielleicht mal auf.

Ich glaube nicht, dass er "Gaga-MAGA" ist... aber halt eindeutig ein Republikaner ...mit allem, was da so dazugehört. Google meint:

Das stimmt bedingt, denn es geht IMO Sheridan weniger um Parolen als vielmehr um Charaktere. Ich habe das schon oft beobachtet: Sheridan lässt nämlich meist Charaktere mit unterschiedlichen Weltbildern miteinander kollidieren. Statt klarer moralischer Ansagen ergeben sich pro/contra Argumente aus Dialogen oder Handlungssituationen. Dadurch wirkt es eigentlich nicht wie eine direkte politische Botschaft. Gerade bei den Konflikten zwischen urban-liberalen und traditionellen Figuren baut er zudem oft ironische Spitzen oder trockenen Humor ein. Das kann zwar wie eine Kritik wirken, ist es aber nicht unbedingt.

The Madison in zwei Tagen durchgesuchtet. Das war eine darstellerische Tour de Force. Ohne irgendwas zu spoilern, aber wir haben nicht erwartet eine Serie von Sheridan zu sehen, die sich so anders anfühlt, aber doch die gleiche DNA teilt. Michelle Pfeiffer spielt auf allerhöchstem Level. Ich muss dass alles emotional ein wenig sacken lassen, aber in meinen Augen ist The Madison eine Perle.
