Bettany Thinks Jason Statham Should Invest In An Acting Double

Paul Bettany has the perfect riposte to those less than flattering Jason Statham Avengers comments from earlier this year.

The Fast & Furious hardman previously quipped that even his grandma could star in a Marvel Comics movie thanks to the use of CGI, stunt doubles and green screens.

Appearing on Conan, Bettany said that he would never “talk shit about somebody else’s work”, but Statham might want to “think about investing in an acting double”.

Bettany, who played The Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, added of his fellow Brit star: “He’s brilliant at what he does – I couldn’t do it. I try to do as many of the stunts as I can, but there are times when it’s too dangerous or it’s too tricky.

“But if there’s a really, really tricky scene with some very tricky dialogue, one might consider bringing in an acting double for Jason Statham.”
