Expendables 4 is expected to shoot in 2016 (partly in China) for a 2017 release, although the director and cast have yet been announced, though the trade assures that the all-star action formula will be followed to the letter with a budget north of $100 million.

Das hat Seagal vermutlich vor allem gesagt, damit sein Film mal wieder im Zusammenhang mit einem Film fällt, der überhaupt irgendwen interessiert.

Coole Sache, ich hoffe aber dass man wieder einen neuen Regisseur findet. Ich finde es gut, dass bis jetzt jeder Film von jemand anderem inszeniert wurde.
Am besten wäre natürlich, wenn man wieder einen Regisseur findet, der wie Simon West schon in den 90ern grössere Actionfilme drehte. Wobei Namen wie John McTiernan hier wohl weiterhin unrealistisch bleiben. Antoine Fuqua wäre natürlich nicht schlecht, aber er dreht nun wohl "Equalizer 2".
Falls es diesmal nach Asien gehen würde, könnte man natürlich mal bei Renny Harlin vorbeischauen, da er scheinbar nun dort Filme dreht.
Ansonsten wäre meiner Meinung nach Scott Mann eine gute und vermutlich nicht allzu unrealistische Wahl.

Half right, Sly. Yeah, we´re hoping for something different: A good movie this time would be nice. But after 3 of these flicks: No, we´re not expecting it. But hey: Didn´t you already give us somehing different last time? PG13 and a new team? Well, that went well, didn´t it? So maybe "different" isn´t such a cool idea when it´s coming from you...“We’re going to do our best, but I think we’ve got some really great attitude going,” Stallone said. “We’ve got great ideas. Hoffe mal die Meldung entpuppt sich als April Scherz. Leider steht sie auf verschiedenen Seiten, also entweder fielen alle auf eine Ursprungsmeldung herein oder es ist tatsächlich so.

Is Sylvester Stallone an expendable member of The Expendables franchise?
The Expendables franchise appears to have lost its leading man today as Deadline reports that Sylvester Stallone has exited the big-screen action series. Although a fourth Expendables franchise entry was being planned for 2018, today’s report indicates that disagreements between Stallone and Millennium Films‘ Avi Lerner have led to the star stepping away.
“We’re going to do our best, but I think we’ve got some really great attitude going,” Stallone had teased of the fourth film earlier this year on his Facebook page. “We’ve got great ideas. I think everyone is expecting something different and we’re going to give it to them.”
“I don’t think it’s over,” Lerner today told Deadline, sounding optimistic that something could still be worked out to have Stallone involved. “…In my opinion, it’s not dead.”
