[TV] The Continental (John Wick Spin-Off)

IndieWire has learned that the series is being developed under the name, “The Continental,” and Lionsgate is “very excited” about the series. In a separate interview, Stahelski said the focus was expected to be the “cool, Wick-ian, magical, and mysterious world” of the titular hotel.

“They’ve got a really good structure,” Stahelski said. “It’s very tied to the film [in that] it’s about the Continentals all over the world, how certain people come into that world, and what happens in relation to those people, which is cool. I think the world is very vast, and everything I’ve heard from it is very positive. […] It’s something that studio seems very, very intent on [making] and very, very behind.”

Wie ich gelesen habe, soll wohl sogar Reeves an der Serie beteiligt sein und einige Male auftauchen. Und Lionsgate muss wohl mit Starz kooperieren, was bedeutet, dass es durchaus härter zugehen könnte... Klingt also echt interessant...

I won’t give away more than that, but Starz really leaned into this take also, and they have been great collaborators. And how we’ve approached this first season is as three essentially 90-minute events which you could construe as a limited series or a limited event series.”

Tatsächlich. Keanu Reeves ist everybody's darling und Mel Gibson ist der Sexist, Rassist und Antisemit. Stimmt ja auch, ich sehe ihn aber trotzdem gerne.

Geht mir bei ihm genau so. Gilt aber auch für andere Schauspieler, die im echten Leben wohl ziemliche Unsympathen sind.
